Purpose of the course

The course introduces participants to main concepts of technology enhanced learning, eDidactic, open and distance learning and socio-technical environments for teaching/learning in context of climate change. Participants will be introduced at the beginning with several learning theories and approaches for the design of eLearning courses. Exercises and support materials will be provided to support participants in the development and assessment of eLearning courses developed by them. Participants will be familiarized with technical systems, tools and software used for the creation, design, development and delivery of “eResources”. Open Content license models and online repositories addressing particularly the topic of climate change will be introduced to participants.  Educational models supported by information and communication technologies for stakeholders in informal and non formal learning context involved in climate change (children, adult, decisions makers, community, etc.) will also be introduced to participants.

Objectives:
At the end of the module, participants will be able to:
- Understand the different learning models and theories
- Classify and apply several IT supported approaches and educational models for stakeholders in informal and non formal learning context involved in climate change (children. adult, decisions makers, community, etc.)
- Identify main indicators/aspects to assess the quality of eLearning courses
